OIC Wellbeing Network and Wellbeing Champions

The OIC Wellbeing Network is a support group that shares best practice and secures feedback to help inform future health and wellbeing initiatives.

The Wellbeing Network consists of the Wellbeing Champions and Wellbeing Supporters.

What is a Wellbeing Champion?

Wellbeing Champions promote mental health and wellbeing; they act as advocates and support systems for their colleagues.  They are voluntary employees who:

  • Promote and support the implementation of wellbeing initiatives at OIC
  • Foster a positive and supportive environment
  • Promote wellbeing activities and resources
  • Receive in-house training on health and wellbeing
  • Are the first point of contact in local areas for those needing advice or wellbeing support
  • Are supported by the Wellbeing Network and Wellbeing Supporters

When to contact a Wellbeing Champion

You can contact a Wellbeing Champion to:

  • Find out more about what wellbeing resources are available
  • Find out what wellbeing activities are happening
  • Speak to someone and get support about something that might be causing you concern.

Wellbeing Champions can signpost to suitable resources, people policies, or offer you space to talk about it.

What is a Wellbeing Supporter?

Wellbeing Supporters work closely with our Wellbeing Champions to coordinate health and wellbeing initiatives and ensure there is no duplication of effort and streamline how wellbeing related content is shared.
